CREATING TABLE TOP MAGIC

Invite Mother Nature to your Holiday Dinner ~ winter herbs, fruits and vegetables make simple and memorable centerpieces.

It's so easy to put together these tables and centerpieces. The Holidays are the best time to pull out all the stops as far as decorating goes. Sometimes, though, it's all a little bit too much. Short on cash and on time? Here are some easy, pretty ideas for your holiday tables that won't take a lot of time. I developed these tips and tables using herbs, fruits and vegetables for Cottages & Bungalows Magazine for this holiday season. {took all the photos here at home, too!} Be sure to go find this issue, it's filled with inspiration!

Creating Tabletop Magic:

Make your holiday tables & centerpieces a feast for the eye. It's easy to make your holiday tables look as memorable as the food you'll serve. By following these few simple rules, you will create holiday tables that are beautiful, magical, and best of all, stress free.

1. Use what you have. The secret to holiday decorating is to enhance your table settings rather than drive yourself crazy trying to buy the latest and greatest for your holiday tables. Use what you already love, and add some holiday cheer. At FrenchGardenHouse we like to think outside the box and use decorative pieces in unusual ways.

By taking an antique ironstone compote and arranging fresh holiday greens, hydrangeas, fruits, a few vegetables and ivy from the garden, it goes from every day to an "old world" lavish centerpiece for your buffet. {buy florist foam, soak it in water, and simply stick the greens and flowers in. Gently place a few fruits on your arrangement.}
