Winner!

Wow, how very nice you all are. Thanks so much for playing along, and thanks, too, for all your sweet comments, emails and phone calls {!!} about the candles and give~away. {And thanks for all the purchases, too I'm almost out of my first run already}

Thank you for forgiving me for being away for a whole week. While you were visiting here, and leaving your kind comments, I've had one of the most busy weeks. There are times when I wish I could post more, and post longer, more beautiful posts, if only I had time! As you can see below, we are busy here, probably like all of you.

It's not just "business" busy, either. On the homefront, I've had to walk our Beau lots of times. We just got new grass, so no more just letting him wander off in the back yard. Now Beau wants proper "walkies" at regular intervals. Which is nice, but I think he will use any excuse to go out, walk me around, and then come back inside for a dog treat before he retires to his cozy basket, and I go back to work in the office.

As I'm getting ready for Fall, and Holidays...{eek! yes!} here at the shop, August is always a busy time. It's when all the new products come in for Fall, and Christmas. It's when I buy way more than I should. It's when my eyes glaze over at all the gorgeous things my friends the French dealers bring to me, and I just totally forget the stern talking to I gave myself, and just say Oui! Oui! and Yes! again in spite of having a business plan, a spending plan. It really isn't my fault, I tell Mr. FgH...it's the summer heat. This in turn leads to moving things around, to make storage space for said fabulous things.

All the while, even though I have been gone from blogging for a week, I've been thinking of all of you. I love visiting your blogs, and feel priviledged to take a peek into your lives. Your homes. And your cities and towns. I love when you let all of us travel with you. To places I either will put on "my list" or places I probably never would have seen otherwise. You broaden my world. And even though you are so very busy too, you take the time to write, and make things pretty and interesting for all of us. Thank you.

While I sit in my office writing away, or editing copy, or cropping photographs for the website, I know you are just a little click away. {trust me, it's a good thing my helper ~ see above~ is there, otherwise I could get lost in bloggingland all day, every day}

Aside from work, there is also the need to run my own household, just like for all of you. {My family likes to eat meals. crazy, but there you have it! It takes shopping, cooking and all those domestic things that I actually love to make our world spin around here. Luckily, Mr. FgH has discovered his inner chef lately, so he makes dinner, too.}

Then, of course, I do need a little time to spend thinking of my grandbaby , see my fantasy of us putting her in our suitcase after we visit her and sneaking her onto a plane to live with us in California below. {yes, I know she needs to stay with her Mommy and Daddy, I'm just sayin'!}

I just wish I had more time to spend with all of you. But I am grateful for the time I do get to spend. And grateful for the time you all spend visiting me here. So now, let's get down to it! After using one of those random number generators, I've pulled out the biggest bottle of Champagne I could find to announce my give away winner, please raise your glass in a toast:

tada.......thanks SO much for entering the give away! I wish I could win the lottery, then I could send each and every one of you a little gift. But for now, Dixie, could you please email me your address? and which candle you would like, so I can send it off to you. To Texas.

Congratulations to Dixie! What a beautifully illustrated post. Your first picture really made me jump, because I have just come from 'recherche, velos enfant' on Google.fr, trying to get a bike for our 10 year old son, whose previous one was stolen at the end of term. To see another velo enfant was a bit surprising!
