I thought you might want to join me on a little tour of some of the trendy looks for this coming holiday season....put your elf hats on, so you can help me decide! {ps. Back in stock! Here}
One of the prettiest "trends" for this Holiday Season is the Winter Wonderland theme, with iced Branches, lots of Silver, Birds, Artic Animals, sparkling Whites and Glitter. It's been around for a few years, but still a strong look. The perfect combination of icy silver and snowy white. This shimmering Winter Wonderland brings the outside in by adding icy silver and white touches to your home and decorating. I love the owls...just not sure if my customers will...what do you think?
Timeless Grace is elegant. Dressed to dazzle, this includes a heavenly combination of Cream and Gold. I love the Champagne colors, the elegant glamour of this trend. It matches so beautifully with Gold and White~Cream tableware & Glasses with Gilt edges. This is a polished, "city" look. Glam at its best ~ graceful elegance that is both timeless and polished. I think this is a combination that will last, it's pretty much timeless. It's funny how for years and years Gold was "out" and now, it's the newly discovered "in".
Royal Splendor is another look I have fallen in love with in all the market showrooms. Jewel tones that glitter and sparkle transform your home into a palace. Together with Velvets and Brocades used for Stockings, Pillows and Tablecloths, this gives a truly grande feel to the holidays . And this is the perfect "theme" to use all those Crowns we love.
The colors in the above photograph are a bit subdued, but the ornaments below are bright, and regal, aren't they? Love those.
There are so many different themes for holiday decorations. Or variations on a theme. Like the one below, that's called "Nature Glows" featuring Gold and Silver mixed in with Nests, Twigs and Flowers. Then there is Romantic Decorating in palest pastels, with loads of angels, and lace. Traditional with the Reds, Greens and bright colors most of us grew up with. and on. and on. So...what's your favorite? What will make you want to change your "look" or buy a few new things? What ornaments or decorations make you heart leap? or flutter?
Let me know, okay? You can find me on my fainting couch {no worries, I won't be fainting, just resting after going from showroom to showroom and overloaded with waaayyyy too many Holiday Displays}
and wearing my comfy elf slippers.

My holiday decorating always has a handmade, folk art, country cottage look so those elf shoes are definitely speaking to me! But the thing I HAVE TO HAVE is the metal sign at the top of your post. Please tell me where and how...
What a fun post! I never knew gold was out, and that is my favorite tree. In terms of gold, I have white china with a gold band and then Tiffany Holiday in dessert service which also has some gold in the design. Hence gold just sets me free, particularly at Christmas!
Loved this post...
XO,
Sheila :-)
How I wish it was Christmas already after looking at this pics! :)

I love the whites and silver! So pretty! I'm not sure about the owls though...they sort of scare me!
Hello Lidy!!
It is wonderful to see some of the ideas for this coming Christmas~just six months away! The pictures are very elegant!
I've never considered which I prefer~gold or silver. I do like traditional decoration in my living room and then I have some whimsical country style things going back to when the children were young and I let these decorations take over the family room!! Will you be having Christmas decorations in your shop soon?
It was so nice to see your post! And thanks for visiting~I love hearing your comments as always.
xoxo

The other half has many ornaments from childhood that we must use each year, so I always get vetoed on doing a theme tree.
I love the Royal Splendor one.
Maybe I'll do a small tree on my own this year.
Yeah! Bring on the glitz; I'am ready especially for the Royal Crown treatment! Lovely post as always!!! Anita
Thanks for the updates on the fabulous upcoming holiday trends! Loved the photos! I just love Christmas! :)
Jane: we will be receiving our boxes and boxes of Christmas and a small sampling of Fall decorations starting in July thru August. I plan on having a tada...moment on the website in the first week of September. xo Lidy
They are all gorgeous but I think my favorite is Royal Splendor. I'd love that for my house!
The owls in the first one I would drop if I was going to try and do this at home, unless, of course, a Harry Potter film is out and kids' are fans of his white owl, Hedwig.
I love the bright jewel tones and the gold. Last year we decorated our tree in Mardi Gras colors--gold, green and purple. Lots of gold beads and gold dusted Poinsettia blossoms tucked in as well.
no no no - not yet!! pulling my hair out!! it's too early!!!!! hahah
I am new to blogging and new to your blog..........but wow I picked the right time to start. I LOVE the trees.......all of them! And it is never too early for me to start thinking about Christmas decorations.
I'm loving natural and animals...simple Christmas decorations (ahhh, breathe).
Off subject, but I'm looking for a french hotel room number sign or numbered hotel key marker. "168" to be exact (housewarming gift). Doesn't look like you have any right now -- any ideas where I could look? Thanks!
I love white, I know it is probably boring to some but I can never get enough!!! I love to make as many things as I can, this year I will so excited to blog about my decorations!!! I love the elf slippers!!! I am looking forward to whatever you choose, cause I know it'll be fabulous!!!!
Hugs,
Margaret B
Well if you decided to sell those adorable white hoot owls...you can fill an order for me! Any polar bears by chance? My favorite looks are the White Christmas and Jewel toned looks. And thanks for the wonderful pictures in the middle of the year! "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..."
Hi Lidy, thank you for your sweet comment on my new Blog :)Our modem broke and we just got a new one on Mon. so this was the first that I got to read it. This is such a beautiful post, that first pic of the silver and white Christmas scene scared me for a min. there because I thought I was gonna have to tell Mr Wonderful that I needed new Christmas decorations :) (He wouldn't be so wonderful after that lol ) But after looking at all the other beautiful decorations I think I will be ok at least color wise :) Btw my lil bebe studio is just that, it is only 11X13 according to my husband, the size of some of my girlfriends closets, but it is my dream space :) (nightmare at this moment lol)But I will hopefully have it up and running soon. Dawn, you and so many others are my inspiration to get it in gear :) Rose
I thought I was the only one thinking of "C" this time of year. Great post.
All of these looks are just beautiful. However, I seem to be gravitating to a more traditional look lately. I don't have any red in my home the rest of the year. But I do have a huge rock fireplace that I put my tree up next to, so the red and green do end up on the tree. I like a lot of vintage, retro kind of stuff mixed with a nature inspired theme. (if that makes sense) Vintage pictures of deer or poinsettias collaged onto old ephemera. A touch of gold or silver is ALWAYS good. I usually don't decorate the same way every year. I have a lot of things to choose from and only use some of them. I'm sure everything you choose will be beautiful!
Tanya, I love that too! It's nice to give it a little bit different look each year. Here at home we generally use victorian ornaments, with antique beaded swags etc., mixed in are a few things our children made long ago. (styrofoam balls with glitter, for instance) so that it's still a personal tree.
Lidy
Love it all, but to be honest, I don't want to think about Christmas right now. It is 96 out there! :-)

Hellooooo Lidy,
When we moved down here I gave all the Christmas decorations to the kids. We have had to start from scratch (oh dang gone!!) As much as I love the winter white look I just wouldn't pull it off here. Not when it's 80 degrees and the tree is on the back court yard. :) Soooo I fell hard for bronze-brown and gold. It lends it's self to many different looks with a bit of a vintage sepia feeling. Oh but I'd love to add a few crowns on this year's tree!!
I don't know about your customer base but I love the white owls!! And I'm not much of an awl person at all :)

I remember those hot days at market shopping for Christmas. Once I got going though it became fun and even put me in the holiday spirit....That is until husband insisted.....IT'S JULY!
Enjoyed your post......Bev
I love trees in golds, whites and silver. It will be fun to see what you bought. So funny that you bought most things right after Christmas. I think I would be so sick of everything Christmas at that point.
You have impeccable taste, Lidy, I can't wait to see what you list on the site!
Cathy
I need a pair of those elf slippers!! they look very comfy, please let me know if you will be carrying them!!!
Stacey, aren't they cute? Unfortunately they only fit elves. They're about 1-1/2" long.:)
I want some elf slippers.

Never too early to be preparing for Christmas!! It is a the most wonderful time of the year!! I am not sure about the "Harry Potter" Owls.. kinda scary! HA! I love the glitzy christmas with Color!! The jewel tones are my favorite.. Yet, I like the whimsy, magical, child-like Christmas too.. The elf slippers are too cute!!
