sniff cough cough

It was bound to happen. some day. All my aunts and uncles from Europe who are visiting have it. My husband {Mr. FGH who is never sick has it} ~ so it was only a matter of time for me to catch it. A cold. coughing. sore throat. hard to breathe.

I thought I'd cheer myself up {and hopefully you, too!} with some shots in our backyard. I'm totally cheating here, since I took these for the site, but I am too sick to get out there and do some other kind of photography...even if it is for all of you. sorry.

Hopefully after a weekend of laying low, this bug will go away and I will be a healthy girl once more. {Why is it that we always take this for granted until we are not?}

Finally, you have to make this! Only if you love garlic, though. It's beyond wonderful. Make sure there are atleast three other people there to eat this. I don't want any hate mail later, saying you made it and ate it all alone....and now your new jeans don't fit.

My daughter made this White Bean Dip for my birthday dinner this week. With baked Pita Triangles. Take it from me, to die for. Make it soon, you will love it. {Don't breathe on anyone unless they, too, have eaten it~ trust me on this}

Hope you all have a happy, fun weekend, me? I think I'll probably be under the covers for most of it. sniff. {I will be finalizing some choices for a FGH Product that's been a year in the making, too}

Lovely pictures! And, Oooh, I love Giada. That dip sounds delish and its my new plan for the weekend. Reminds me of hummus. Yum! Now I'm hungry ... ;-)

Oh, and I'm so sorry you're sick. With 2 little ones, I know how awful it is having been sick so much this winter. I hope it doesn't last and you feel better!

You are sick and you still can make such a beautiful post! What a woman!

Get well soon.

Oh I do hope you feel better soon. Maybe eating some of the garlicky bean dip will help!

Take care of yourself,

Love your backyard pictures. Just adds to my blossoming spring fever. Speaking of fever, hope you feel better soon. Eat some more garlic, it's anti-fungal! Bean dip and pita sounds so yummy!

I do hope you are feeling better soon. I went down with a bug three weeks ago and it has knocked me for six. Still under the doc and feeling lousy and tired. But I can't be too down - yesterday my first little spring bulb sprung up so the season must be changing. Take care of yourself. Margaret

ps: and you are allowed some self pity, believe me it helps, well at least for a short time. LOL

I pray the angels heal you before the sun comes up again. If I lived closer to your lovely shop, I'd be in trouble. The dip and pita sound wonderful. Here is TN, they say that Jack Daniels with a little lemon juice and honey will cure what ails you and it's what made Elvis' voice so smooth - if all else fails, try this home remedy!

Lidy,

I hope you get healthy soon! It was sweet of you to share your pictures while you should have been snuggled up in bed with some tea and a magazine, but thanks! Lovely spring eye candy!

The dip looks scrumptious. As Rachel Ray says, it's O.K. to eat garlic with someone else because you cancel each other out!! Love that Food Network!

Happy belated birthday, sweet lady!

Happy Birthday! I love your pictures, esp. since I've got this crud too, and nothing green is happening in my yard. Still covered in snow.

Sorry you are under the weather. I am just starting to get over the crud I had. Drink lots of fluids & get rest. This is my second round since Nov., which is unusual for me, since it has years since I had a cold. I always enjoy seeing your photos. Know what you mean about the garlicky bean dip, but it is so good. Take care.

YOur back yard is wonderful! It is winter here--the flowers are only beginning to thrust their way up through the cold earth.

What an inspiration your photos are! Thanks for sharing.

I sure hope you and your family feel better soon. We have it over here on the West Coast, too. (cough cough, sniffles sneeze)

I hope you feel better soon! I had a cold about 3 weeks ago! It seems like it took forever to go away!

That bean dip sounds so good! I wish I had some it now to go with the glass of wine I'm drinking!
