Thanksgiving Ideas #2

Photographer: Francine Zaslow

I love this idea! Style genius Matthew Mead developed this for Yankee Magazine. He placed an upside down box down the center of the table, added Butternut Squash (fabulous color!) adds Bittersweet, little containers of Roses. Handwritten names on small gourds at each place setting for place cards.

Mantle with Gourds, colored Bottles, little Votives, Leaves and Garlands, a few Persimmons~ m*a*g*i*c! n'est pas?
A gorgeous but simple table setting, using a clear Plate, one Leaf, and a simple folded Napkin.

Matthew makes the time to make this Gingerbread Harvest Basket for the wow factor! I love how it looks, and what a fabulous twist on the traditional Gingerbread House. The directions to wow you guests, should you think this is a fun project, are here.

Ah Lidy! And now I know why I like you even more... you're a fellow Yankee Magazine fan! =) I didn't think there were too many fans outside of the northeast, but WOW! His ideas are so yummy!

I adore Matthew Mead's style. I've "copied" him many times when doing my own parties and always find inspiration from his site!
On a side note: do you live in So Cal too? If so, I'd love to meet up sometime for lunch and shopping!
Smiles,
Heatther

Get Out! That Gingerbread Basket is cooler than cool. I never thought to do it for Thanksgiving. Actually, I think it's even better for fall than Christmas because of the color. Wonderful!!
